This diagnostic test will ensure your computer and network connections are properly configured to provide you with the best possible Connect Pro meeting experience. The diagnostic test checks for the following:
- Supported version of Flash Player
- Clear connection to Adobe Connect Pro
- Bandwidth availability
- Latest Acrobat Connect Add-in
If all tests pass successfully, you are ready to log in to this series of meetings. However, if you continue to experience problems, check the items listed below under Meeting login issues.
Meeting login issues:
If test 1. Supported version of Flash Player fails; download the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player to your computer. The download is free and installs automatically. You may be prompted to install this update, but if not, the ling to download this software is:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/?promoid=BUIGP
If test 2. Clear connection to Adobe Connect Profails, it indicates that your computer can not communicate properly with the Adobe Connect software used during this webinar series. This is typically caused by an old Flash player installed on your computer or a need to update to a current version of Java. Test 1 will verify or update your Flash player. To update your Java software, go to: http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp This a free download. Another possibility is that you are using a network with very tight security measures. You may have to contact your network administrator for additional help.
If test 3. Bandwidth availability fails, it indicates that the connection speed for your computer is to slow and will not support the video and audio streaming that will be used during this series of meetings. Try to log on from another computer with a higher speed internet connection (LAN, DSL/Cable Modem, High speed wireless) and run the test link again.
If test 4. Latest Acrobat Connect Add-in fails, this test connectivity site will prompt you to download and install the latest Adobe Connect Add-in. This add-in will allow your computer to interact with the Adobe Connect webinar software.
After trying the items above to correct one or more of the tests that failed, rerun the test link to assure your computer is ready to join the webinars at their scheduled times.
If all of the above tests pass and you can not log on to attend the webinar series at their scheduled times, other things to check are:
